Local Tourists Areas

Dunluce Castle.
The ruins of this medieval castle, clinging to the cliffs between Portrush and Bushmills date from at least 1500ad. Occupied originally by the MacQuillans and later the Mc Donnells, It is not hard to imagine the battles that took place for control of this very important vantage point along the coastline.

Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge.
This narrow rope bridge, traditionally constructed by local salmon fishermen, stretches for 20 metres and 30 metres above the sea between the mainland and Carrick-A-Rede island. Fantastic experience and views for those brave enough to cross this narrow rope bridge – Not for the faint hearted!!

The Giants Causeway.
Whether you believe in myths and legends or not, a visit to this ‘ancient wonder of the world’ is a must and you will surely find the Giant's Causeway a ‘mystical’ experience. With its hexagonal basalt columns and outcrops, it bears testament to this area’s turbulent geological history. Immerse yourself in the legend of Finn Mc Cool and enjoy the flora and fauna of this beautiful area.
"The seaside resort of Portrush (Port Rois) bursts at the seams with holidaymakers in high season and, not surprisingly, many of its attractions are focused unashamedly on good old-fashioned family fun. However, it's also one of Ireland's top surfing centres and home to the North's most prestigious golf club." - Lonely Planet
